Wailer Severson
PEMBINE, Wis. — Pembine High School has announced the top academic leaders for the graduating Class of 2026, honoring two students who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to their studies, athletics and community.
— Wailer Severson, valedictorian for the Class of 2026, is the son of Marvin Severson and the youngest of five siblings.
Severson maintained an impressive 3.95 cumulative grade-point average during his final year while balancing a rigorous schedule of extracurricular activities. He served as president of Healthy Youth Coalition and took on leadership roles as the team captain for both the golf and basketball teams. His involvement further extended to the National Honor Society, Hi-Q, yearbook and cross country.
Severson plans to major in finance and minor in accounting at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse this fall, toward pursuing a career in the business world.

A well-rounded student and athlete, Seidel has been a vital part of the Pembine community through her participation in student council, Title 1 Voices, and the Healthy Youth Coalition. Her athletic contributions include varsity volleyball, varsity softball, and basketball, all while remaining an active member of the National Honor Society.
Outside of her academic pursuits, Seidel enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her younger brother, Carter, and other loved ones.
She plans to seek a bachelor’s degree in elementary education at Northern Michigan University, with a goal of exploring the world and educating others.
Pembine High School congratulates these two scholars on their remarkable achievements and wishes them the best in their future collegiate endeavors.
