Tool and equipment retailer Harbor Freight plans to open a store in Iron Mountain this summer at the north end of the Midtown Mall.
A grand opening date for the store at 1052 S. Stephenson Ave. will be announced later, the company said Tuesday in a news release.
Maple Creek Restaurant, which closed in 2020, is among the businesses formerly at that address.
The Harbor Freight store will create approximately 10 to 15 new jobs, the news release stated. It will feature items advertised as being only available at Harbor Freight, including ICON hand tools, Hercules and Bauer power tools, U.S. General tool storage units, Predator generators and Daytona floor jacks and jack stands.
Founded in 1977 and based in Calabasas, Calif., Harbor Freight has more than 1,600 stores nationwide, including Escanaba and Marquette, as well as Marinette and Green Bay, Wis.
