As communities across the nation prepare to celebrate the 250th anniversary of America’s founding, The Daily News invites Iron Mountain and surrounding area residents and businesses to participate in its America 250 Decorating Contest.

Participants are encouraged to decorate homes, cottages, businesses, storefronts, offices and other properties with patriotic displays and submit a photo by posting it in the comments section of the official contest post on The Daily News’ Facebook page.

Entries will be accepted through Saturday, July 4.

The grand prize winner will receive a $50 gift certificate to A&W of Iron Mountain. The winning entry will be selected by Daily News staff based on patriotic spirit, creativity and overall presentation.

All eligible entries received by the deadline will be featured in a special America 250 photo showcase in the July 8 edition of The Daily News as well as in the comments on the newspaper’s Facebook page.

Residents and businesses throughout The Daily News coverage area are encouraged to participate and help showcase the community’s patriotic pride during this historic anniversary celebration.
