Dickinson County Sheriff issues report for month of May
IRON MOUNTAIN –Dickinson County Sheriff Aaron Rochon has issued his monthly report for May.
The road patrol served 73 civil process papers, investigated 213 complaints, handled 22 accidents, issued 53 citations and 283 verbal warnings, made 25 arrests — six of which were for outstanding warrants, including six felonies — and completed 278 property checks.
The K-9 officer conducted nine searches, including seven for local agencies, and had two deployments resulting in arrests. There was one tracking deployment.
There were four transports — one to prison, one for mental health and two miscellaneous.
The correctional center had 59 bookings, with an average daily booking of 1.9 and an average daily population of 54.5.
The dispatch center received 722 calls to 911 and 5,375 non-911 calls. There were 1,889 calls for law enforcement service, 513 for ambulance service and 65 for fire service.
Ten individuals assigned to the sheriff’s work van in May logged 300 hours at the sheriff’s office/courthouse and garage, courthouse parking lot, Lake Antoine Park, Ford Airport and assisting food pickups.
