NORWAY — Music in the Park continues as the Escanaba-based Grand Design Band performs for the fourth concert of the season at 7 p.m. Thursday at the band shell in downtown Norway.
The Grand Design Band is a five-member group from the Escanaba/Gladstone area that performs a variety of classic rock, music of the ’50s and ’60s, a little country and many favorite cover tunes from early to modern.
“The band’s captivating, high energy performance will ‘transport’ music fans back in time to keep you dancing, tapping your toes and singing the night away,” band member Mike Swanson said.
They’re sure to bring a fun show to the band shell and are really looking forward to playing for a great Dickinson County audience.
“We hope folks that come into Iron Mountain for this week’s Out to Lunch concert with Mark Young & The Happy Enchiladas will enjoy the afternoon, have a nice dinner in the area and come on down to beautiful Band Shell Park in Norway for our fourth free performance of this summer’s fabulous series,” MIP Program Director Carol Sundstrom said.
Fantastic weather and a great local band drew literally hundreds of fans to the band shell Thursday to hear Next Myle perform 90-plus minutes of hit music.
