Grant for 906 Adventure Team

The Iron Area Health Foundation has awarded a $1,000 grant to the Iron County 906 Adventure Team, which runs a youth resiliency program for Iron County youth ages 5 to 17 throughout the summer where young people develop both bike skills and life skills. Bike team members are taught to be independent, strong, resilient and adaptable while engaged in healthy, outdoor physical activities. The Iron County 906 Adventure Team involves 40 to 50 youth and 25 adult volunteers each summer. At the check presentation, from left are Lyle Smithson Jr., IAHF director; Elizabeth Peterson, 906 Adventure Team Champion for Adventure; and Kurt Anderson, IAHF board member.

Starting at $4.00/week.
