Kingsford Middle School had its eighth grade promotion ceremony for students and their families Thursday in the Kingsford High School auditorium. During the ceremony, Lilyanah Barker was awarded female student of the year, and Mason Koch male student of the year. Barker and Koch were chosen for their outstanding character and academic success.
