This photograph from the “Vulcan, Michigan, Centennial Book 1872-1972,” shows H. Hastings’ Meat Market on Market Street in Vulcan about 1885. It was one of the earliest buildings in Vulcan. The market was later operated by Otto Marinelli. It was torn down in 1962. “Remember when?” appears every Wednesday in The Daily News.
