Armstrong Creek celebrates roots with Polish Heritage Day

ARMSTRONG CREEK, Wis. -- The 35th-annual Polish Heritage Day, which boasts "non-stop polka music" and other nods to the community's roots, is set for today at the public park in Armstrong Creek.
The event starts with a Polish Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, followed by the parade at noon.
At the park, the celebration from noon to 8 p.m. will feature music, Polish food, bounce houses, a cornhole tournament, craft vendors and refreshments. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for veterans and free for ages 10 and younger.
Polka music from noon to 8 p.m. will be provided by The Natural Talent from Pulaski, Wis., and Tony Blazoncyck's New Phase Polka Band from Chicago.
The event will feature as well performances by Zespol Jawory, a Polish Highlanders youth dance group from the Chicago area.
