TOWN OF DUNBAR, Wis. -- Dive team members Sunday recovered the body of a 73-year-old Dunbar man who apparently drowned in a Marinette County lake.
Harold L. Patz had been reported missing early evening July 12 from Twin Lake Road in the Town of Dunbar, touching off a week of searches on the ground and in the water that included K9s, drones, boats, underwater remote-operated vehicles and multiple dive teams, Marinette County Sheriff Randy Miller stated in a news release.
Patz was found deceased about 12:54 p.m. Sunday in West Twin Lake, according to the news release. A full obituary with services is on page A2 in today's newspaper.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the Patz family," Miller said in the news release.
The sheriff's office was assisted by the Middle Inlet Fire Department Dive Team, Dickinson County Sheriff Dive Team, No One Left Behind K9 Search and Rescue, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Brown County Sheriff's Office Dive Team, Crivitz Police Department, Pembine-Dunbar-Beecher Rescue Squad, Beecher-Dunbar-Pembine Fire Department, Newbold Fire Department K9 Search and Rescue and the Marinette County Medical Examiner's Office.
