The second week of Food, Fun and Fitness in Florence County was packed with crafts, games and experiences. Youth participants were privileged to be able to use Northern Michigan University’s “Starlab,” a pop-up planetarium that allowed students to learn about and travel through the solar system. Aside from this opportunity, some of the other activities included nature portraits, straw-powered spaceships, star-powered protein balls and more. Food, Fun and Fitness is a summer day camp for children entering first through fifth grades, run by the University of Wisconsin-Extension Florence County and the School District of Florence County. Mondays and Wednesdays are at Florence County Elementary School, while Tuesdays and Thursdays are at the Northeast Wisconsin Technical College site in Aurora, Wis.; students may only be enrolled in one location.

Starting at $4.00/week.
