KINGSFORD -- Three city lots on Evergreen Court in Kingsford will be sold to Josh McCole and Company LLC of Kingsford.
The price was set by the city council at $16,320 per lot, with an agreement that the homes be at least 1,450 square feet in size, with a basement. Because three houses will be built, the developer will have an extra amount of time for completion.
In other business, the council:
-- Approved an ordinance that is required as part of Michigan Drinking Water State Revolving Fund monies the city will receive for project No. 4. The funding is in the amount of $4 million at 2% interest over 30 years. The ordinance approval is needed for the funding.
-- Approved pay requests for water and sewer replacement project No. 3 to Payne and Dolan of Gladstone for the Heights lift station in the amount of $627,481.65 and a second pay request in the amount of $136.420.41 for Ford Addition sewer work. A change order for the Ford Addition sewer project was also approved for $57,846.56.
-- Learned early voting is scheduled to start today, with City Hall open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Early voting ends on Aug. 2. Kingsford City Hall serves as an early voting site for all Dickinson County voters. On Election Day, Aug. 4, only Kingsford voters will vote at Kingsford City Hall. All other voters must vote at their regular Election Day polling location.
-- Approved a request for the public safety department to purchase a new patrol vehicle.
