NORWAY -- Music in the Park continues at 7 p.m. Thursday as Finding Feathers performs at the band shell in downtown Norway.
Nashville, Tenn., serendipitously fused Seth and Desiree Brown, the core members of Finding Feathers, previously The Seth Brown Duo. It's been a whirlwind of music, love and adventure ever since. The duo plays 90-plus shows a year these day, including festivals, concerts and great venues. "HU-MAN," their original debut album, is themed with realities of mortal existence and experience. It was released in the spring of 2026 with much anticipation from listeners, fans and friends.
The couple collaborated with 10 great musicians to bring this project to life. It was recorded primarily at and by Dead River Sound in Marquette. A unique genre-bending blend of folk with rock 'n' roll flair, their sound draws listeners into universal truths of the human kind. From time to time you'll see more "feathers" on stage with them as they have accomplished musicians and friends join them all along their journeys.
And often, it's just the two of them -- Seth's acoustic guitar flying, Desiree's percussion heartbeat, and two bold voices. Falling in love with the northern Midwest during their travels, the couple now proudly calls Upper Michigan home while touring the Great Lakes region and beyond each year.
"We hope folks who come into Iron Mountain for this week's Out to Lunch concert with Datura will enjoy the afternoon, have a nice dinner in the area and come on down to beautiful band shell park for a great performance from this talented duo. This will be our third new artist or group for 2026, and our seventh free performance of this summer's concert series," event coordinator Carol Sundstrom said.
Mother Nature threw a curveball at many outdoor activities over the past week. Live outdoor concerts were no exception. With the smoky haze from wildfires north and west, the sixth Music in the Park concert of the 2026 season took place at Crossroads Alliance Church in Norway. The Kaleidoscope Jos performed before a small but deeply appreciative audience.
