Project to resurface part of US 2 in Crystal Falls

CRYSTAL FALLS — Work is expected to start July 9 on resurfacing about 2 miles of U.S. 2 from west of U.S. 141 to Urban Avenue in Crystal Falls in Iron County.

The $590,000 project will include asphalt cold milling, drainage structure adjustments, asphalt resurfacing and pavement markings, according to a Michigan Department of Transportation news release.

This project is expected to be completed in mid-August. Drivers should expect single-lane closures with traffic regulators while work is being done.

This work, which includes a three-year pavement performance warranty, will extend the lifespan of the roadway, providing a smoother ride and increasing safety for motorists.

Starting at $4.00/week.
