Remember when?
This photo, listed by the Menominee Range Historical Museums as taken by Ida Swanson, shows nine Sagola bicyclists in their finest summer apparel posed in front of the Sagola Lumber Company Store on July 4, 1905. The store’s warehouse can be seen in the background at the right. Mary Broadland, fourth from left, waved a flag over her head. Maude Wifler stood third from right. Others in the photo are identified as Jacob Johnson, Hulda Wiberg and Louis Byers. The other two in the photo are not completely identified, but their last names are believed to Yuppenlotz and Price. “Remember when?” appears every Wednesday in The Daily News.
