ESCANABA -- Some roadside parks operated by the Michigan Department of Transportation in the Upper Peninsula will be closing temporarily for toilet building upgrades.
These roadside parks will be closed from Monday to Monday, Aug. 20, for construction activities:
-- Alger County: Au Train Beach Roadside Park on M-28, Deer Lake Roadside Park on M-28 and Grand Island Roadside Park on M-28.
-- Keweenaw County: Snow Gauge Roadside Park on U.S. 41, Great Sand Bay Roadside Park on M-26, Esry Roadside Park on M-26 and
Hebard Roadside Park on M-26.
Some parks may reopen before Aug. 20 if weather conditions are favorable.
