Emplify Health to have free Community Combine in GB

2 min read

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The public is invited to celebrate the end of summer at the first-ever Emplify Health Community Combine from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 29, at Emplify Health Field at Titletown in Green Bay.

The Community Combine is a free, family-friendly event featuring football-themed activities, wellness education and giveaways for all ages.

Attendees can test their speed in the 40-yard dash, leap for the vertical jump and race through hurdles and ladders -- all while learning about the many ways to keep their minds and bodies healthy.

"The Community Combine is a chance for families to move, play and learn together in a setting that's welcoming to all ages and abilities," said Alison Fiebig Vasquez, Emplify Health vice president -- strategy, brand, marketing and communications. "We're bringing care teams from across Emplify Health, as well as community partners Greater Green Bay YMCA and the Special Olympics of Wisconsin, to show that wellness can be fun, accessible and built into everyday activities that many of us already love."

Upon arrival, each participant will receive a "passport" they can take to each activity station. Once participants complete all stations, collecting a stamp at each one, they'll earn a commemorative medal.

As a special incentive, the first 50 entrants will receive an exclusive back-to-school giveaway to help families prep for the year ahead.

"We want every person who walks onto the field to leave with something -- a new wellness tip, a medal, a giveaway or simply a memorable morning with their family," Fiebig Vasquez added. "This is about meeting our community where they are and helping them see that small, healthy choices add up to big results over time."

All activities are free and open to the public. No registration is required. For additional information, including the full schedule of activities and station details, go to the Emplify Health Community Combine Facebook event page.
