KI SAWYER -- An 86-year-old Marquette man has died after a motorcycle-car collision Thursday at KI Sawyer in Marquette County.
The Forsyth Township Police Department and several other Marquette County first responders were dispatched about 4:24 p.m. Thursday to the area of Fifth Street and Avenue B, according to a news release.
The operator of the motorcycle, a 76-year-old Marquette resident, was transported to UP Health System - Marquette, where he later died from his injuries.
The name was being withheld, as the accident remains under investigation and to allow time for family notifications. No other details were released.
The Forsyth Township Police Department was assisted by Forsyth Township EMS and the Forsyth Township Fire Department, UP Health System - Marquette EMS, the Michigan State Police, the Marquette County Sheriff's Office, the MSP accident investigation team and Heavy Hooker Towing.
