MADISON -- Applicants are being sought for the Court of Appeals - District III to fill a vacancy being created by Judge Lisa K. Stark's retirement, effective Dec. 28, Gov. Tony Evers' office announced.
The new judge will complete a term that ends July 31, 2029.
District III consists of Ashland, Barron, Bayfield, Brown, Buffalo, Burnett, Chippewa, Door, Douglas, Dunn, Eau Claire, Florence, Forest, Iron, Kewaunee, Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon, Marinette, Menominee, Oconto, Oneida, Outagamie, Pepin, Pierce, Polk, Price, Rusk, Sawyer, Shawano, St. Croix, Taylor, Trempealeau, Vilas and Washburn counties.
To apply, email a completed application form and supporting materials to GOVJudicialAppointments@wisconsin.gov. Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7. The application can be found on the "Apply to Serve" page on Evers' website at www.evers.wi.gov.
