Cards of Hope for veterans event Sunday at IM library

IRON MOUNTAIN -- Senior Crafting Connections is partnering with the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center for a special Cards of Hope event from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Dickinson County Library.
The event will bring people of all ages together to create handmade cards with messages of encouragement and support for veterans who may be struggling.
The Cards of Hope initiative uses simple, personal messages to remind veterans that they are valued, supported and not alone. Cards created during the event will be provided to the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center to support its efforts to reach veterans who may be experiencing difficult times.
The event is free, with no artistic experience needed to participate. All card-making supplies will be provided, and participants can drop in at any time. There is no need to RSVP.
Senior Crafting Connections is a youth-led nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering meaningful connections across generations through crafting, conversation and community service.
