IRON MOUNTAIN -- Dickinson County Sheriff Aaron Rochon has issued his monthly report for August.
The road patrol served 83 civil process papers, investigated 175 complaints, handled 23 accidents, issued 47 citations and 206 verbal warnings, made 20 arrests -- nine of which were for outstanding warrants, including one felony -- and completed 176 property checks.
The K-9 officer conducted three searches, including one for local agencies, and there was one tracking. There were two K-9 requests without deployments.
The correctional center had 74 bookings, with an average daily booking of 2.4 and an average daily population of 54.5.
The dispatch center received 838 calls to 911 and 3,864 non-911 calls. There were 1,634 calls for law enforcement service, 588 for ambulance service and 63 for fire service.
Thirteen individuals assigned to the sheriff's work van in August logged 408 hours at the sheriff's office, courthouse and garage, Lake Antoine Park, Dickinson County Fairgrounds, Hardwood Dam area and assisting food pickups.
