Frost advisory issued for UP

IRON MOUNTAIN -- The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory for much of the Upper Peninsula, effective from 1 a.m. to 8 a.m. Central time Wednesday.

Temperatures as low as 32 degrees will result in frost formation in portions of the central and western U.P., according to NWS.

“Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation,” forecasters said.

The advisory includes Dickinson, Iron, Delta, Ontonagon, Baraga, Marquette, Alger, Luce, Gogebic, Schoolcraft and southern Houghton counties.
