FLORENCE, Wis. -- A free outdoor program, "Basic Elementary Mushroom Program for the Novice Mushroom Hunter," has been set for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, at the Wild Rivers Interpretive Center in Florence.
Margaret Mary Gerhard will teach fun facts about fungi, forage preparations, ethical harvest and forage etiquette and provide basic information for the novice mushroom hunter.
This program will be in the lower level conference room at the Florence Natural Resource building, 5628 Forestry Drive on the corner of U.S. 2 and Highway 101/70 in Florence. The public may also sign up to attend virtually via Zoom by registering at www.ExploreFlorenceCounty.com. On the Events page click on this event and then click on "Register here to attend via Zoom link." The program allows ample time for questions.
The Florence County monthly Outdoor Education programs are sponsored by the Friends of the Wild Rivers Interpretive Center and the University of Wisconsin Extension Florence County.
