FLORENCE, Wis. -- The Florence County Sheriff’s Office with Michigan partners was investigating a bomb threat today involving the middle/high school building in Florence, reporting that safety protocols are being completed “to ensure nothing is missed.”

In accordance with established procedures, the building was evacuated at 10:36 a.m. today, said Christy Larson, Florence County School District administrator.

“All students and staff are accounted for and safe,” Larson said in an online statement. “At this time we are asking that everyone avoid all school property so that our safety procedures can be carried out,” she said.
