GLADSTONE -- The Gladstone Lions Club has donated $500 to the Gladstone Michigan Soo Line Steam Engine 730 Authority.
Gladstone Lions Club Treasurer Christian Tackman presented the $500 check to help build and operate, maintain and manage a combined local welcome center, visitor information clearinghouse and historical museum facility dedicated to preserving and celebrating regional history, specifically including, but not limited to, the Soo Line Steam Engine 730.
The funds were raised through the club's annual Motor Mayhem Car event and the Fourth of July activities. Board members accepted the check and expressed gratitude for the continued partnership with the local Lions Club.
