IRON MOUNTAIN – Karen J. Radtke, 72, of Iron Mountain, passed away, Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014, at ManorCare Health Services in Kingsford.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov. 26, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain.
A celebration of life service will be held Wednesday at 12 noon at the funeral home. Rev. Jim Danielson will officiate.
The family has chosen the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron Mountain to honor Karen’s legacy of life.

IRON MOUNTAIN – Karen J. Radtke, 72, of Iron Mountain, passed away, Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014, at ManorCare Health Services in Kingsford.
She was born Nov. 26, 1941, in River Falls, Wis. daughter of Alvin and Lorraine (Thoen) Larson.
Karen grew up in River Falls and graduated from River Falls High School, Class of 1959. She then went on to attend secretarial vocational school. The family resided in Iron Mountain since 1972.
Karen worked for the Chippewa Club from 1976 until 1985, and later worked for Asselin Financial, which became Willman Financial, as office manager from 1982 until 2006.
She enjoyed bowling, walking, cookouts, jigsaw and crossword puzzles, dressing up for Halloween but most of all spending time with her family.
Karen is survived by her mother, Lorraine Swanson of Pierceton, Ind.; one son, Mike (Barb) Radtke of Appleton, Wis.; one daughter, Colleen Balzola of Iron Mountain; one sister, Judy Kroeze of Barron, Wis.; four grandchildren, Justin (Ryann), Brandon (Amber Roberts), Jim and Tony; two great-grandchildren, Brody and Bailey; nieces, nephews; and special friend, Connie Balzola of Kingsford.
She was preceded in death by her father, Alvin Larson and one sister, Linda Larson.
