Lois Schomer
AURORA, Wis. – Lois Schomer, 78, of Aurora, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014, at her home.
She was born on June 4, 1936, in Norway, the daughter of the late Richard and Marjorie (Eller) Trecartin.
She was a lifelong resident of this area. Lois was very devoted to her family, spending time with them as often as she could. She was known to be an excellent cook.
She married Herman Schomer on May 6, 1954, in Norway. He preceded her in death in 1995.
Lois is survived by two sons, Sam (Kathy) Schomer of Ajo, Ariz. and Joe (Sheryl) Schomer of Aurora, one brother Richard (Mary) Trecartin of Breitung Township, five grandchildren, Jennifer (Ed) Provencher, Jason Krans, Joshua Schomer, Stacy (Ryan) Erkilla, and Koree Krans, six great- grandchildren, Tyler, Kelsey, Ava, Jayda, Jaycie, and Jaylynn; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, John Schomer in 1981; one daughter, Lori Schomer in 2005; and one sister, Valerie Freeman.
Visitation will be held today from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Kingsford Funeral Home.
The funeral service will follow today at 6 p.m. Rev. Douglas Johnson will officiate.
Burial will be in the Homestead-Aurora Cemetery.
