IRON MOUNTAIN — Tracy L. VanDusen, 60, of Sportsmen’s Club Road in Iron Mountain, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, at Dickinson County Healthcare System.
Tracy was born on April 25, 1956, in Iron River, the daughter of Elaine (Goodman) Spencer and the late Todd Spencer.
She attended school in Iron River and graduated with the West Iron County High School class of 1974. She furthered her education at Northern Michigan University.
Tracy married Carl VanDusen on Dec. 4, 1976, at First Presbyterian Church in Kingsford. She truly enjoyed working with her Walmart family for 18 years. Tracy was an avid archer, and adored her “Archery Family.”
Tracy was a loving, giving person who was dedicated to others. Over the years, she helped many people, always putting their needs before her own. She enjoyed reading, and more than anything else, she loved being a grandma to her grandson, James.
Her thoughtful demeanor and beautiful, charismatic smile will be missed by all who knew her.
Tracy is survived by her husband of 40 years, Carl; a son, John; a grandson, James; her mother, Elaine Spencer; a brother, Fellow Sloden; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 27, from 10 a.m. to noon at the First Presbyterian Church in Kingsford.
A memorial service will follow Friday at noon at the church, with a luncheon following. Rev. Michael March will officiate.
