Donald H. Mansfield

He was born Aug. 9, 1932, in Watersmeet, son of the late Herman and Iris (Peacock) Mansfield. Donald grew up and attended school in Watersmeet. He married Clara Greene in Watersmeet, and she preceded him in death in 1986.

Donald worked for many loggers in the Watersmeet area for years before going to work for the Gogebic County Road Commission, where he worked for around 10 years before retiring.

He enjoyed cutting firewood and spending time with his family.

Donald is survived by two sons, Robert (Teri) Mansfield and Greg (Jill) Mansfield, both of Watersmeet; one brother, Roger (Sandy) Mansfield of Watersmeet; one sister, LaVon (Clayton) Scott of Kenosha, Wis.; four grandchildren, Heather, Amber, Brandon (Michelle) and Mandy (Ramsey); eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Donald’s wishes, private family services will be held.

Burial will be in Watersmeet Cemetery in Watersmeet.
