IRON RIVER — Jack “Scotty” B. Watt, 90, of Iron River, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018, at his home.

He was born Oct. 25, 1927, in Iron River, son of the late William J. and Anna (Monahan) Watt. He attended Iron River Schools, graduating with the Class of 1945. Scotty was honorably discharged from the US Army and received a World War II Victory medal.

Scotty married Jeannine Mitchell on Dec. 2, 1950, in Iron River, where the couple made their home. They celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary last year.

He was employed as a miner for M.A. Hanna Mining Company for 30 years. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, DAV, the American Legion Alfred Branchini Post 17 of Iron River, and the Iron River Country Club.

Scotty was an avid walker and enjoyed golfing, going to high school football and basketball games, and followed the Indianapolis Colts for many years.

Scotty is survived by his wife, Jeannine; daughter, Nancy (Jim) Grindatti of Green Bay, Wis.; granddaughters, Kathy (Russ) Marchiando and Tracy (Tim) Phillips, both of Franklin, Wis.; four great-grandchildren; a niece, Rhonda (Joey) Zawada; and nephews, Ray Watt and Gary (Glorinda) Jarvis.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Watt; and brother, Robert Watt.

Private family services will be held.

Interment will be in Iron River City Cemetery.
