FLORENCE, Wis. — Lynn S. Flannery, 62, of Florence, passed away at her home on Wednesday, March 28, 2018.

She was born June 29, 1955, in Crystal Falls, daughter of the late Elmer and Taime (Kesti) Mattson. Lynn was a graduate of Florence High School. She married Michael Flannery on June 24, 1977, at the First Presbyterian Church, Florence. He preceded her in death on May 29, 2015.

Lynn was raised on a dairy farm in Florence “Finn Town,” where immediate family lived nearby. She worked at Grede Foundries, where she met and soon married Michael F. Flannery. Lynn raised her sons, Nathan and Michael, and enjoyed being a sports mom. As a grandma, Lynn was ultimately the most happy when she was surrounded by her grandchildren, nieces and nephews, sons and daughters-in-law, and her husband at her home.

Survivors include two sons, Michael (Beth) Flannery, Woodstock, Ill., and Nate (Chrissy) Flannery, Lake Villa, Ill.; five grandchildren, Madelyn, Everett, Cole, Julia and Maddux; and by two brothers, Lee (Sue) Mattson, Florence, and Ronn (June Scott) Mattson, Kingsford.

In addition to her parents and her husband Michael, Lynn was preceded in death by one brother, Roy (Barb Karle) Mattson.

Visitation will be 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 31 at the First Presbyterian Church, Florence. Services will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Pastor Doug Johnson will officiate.
