Nancy J. Kloppenburg

SPREAD EAGLE, Wis. — Nancy J. Kloppenburg, 86, of Spread Eagle, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018, at Freeman Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Kingsford.

She is survived by her son, Scott Kloppenburg of Spread Eagle.

My mom was quite a woman. She had that quirky, special nature shown by that ever-present twinkle in her eye. Always ready to laugh or kid, she loved fun. The only time that twinkle disappeared was when someone got between her and her favorite slot machine at the casino!

Staff at Freeman’s said she was “One of a kind.”

She selflessly gave me love from the first stirrings in the womb to our final embrace. I was so blessed to have her as a mother and can only hope to honor her by passing that love forward. I will love you always mom-all I can!

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 5 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 308 Florence Avenue in Florence.

The family has chosen the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain, to honor Nancy’s legacy of life.
