Lieutenant Colonel Roger Anthony Iacovoni – U.S. Army Retired

Born in Grand Rapids, June 28, 1937, to the late Anthony and Ann Marie Iacovoni.

Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Darlene Raymore Iacovoni; daughter, Natalie Iacovoni Cruz (Ruy) of Pittsburgh; granddaughter, Sophia Cruz of Pittsburgh; and brother, Richard Iacovoni of California.

Upon retirement in 1989 he settled in Iron Mountain and was a resident here until 2006.

He enjoyed the opportunity to teach at Bay de Noc College and played a vital role in the Formation Committee of the Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel of Iron Mountain.

He was a member of St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church and American Martyrs Catholic Church.

A funeral Mass was held June 28, 2018 in Columbia.

Burial will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va.
