Clara Maria Wade

MCCALLA, Ala. — Clara Maria Wade, 51, passed away on Feb. 15, 2018, while visiting Florida. She was born on Jan. 15, 1967, in Newfoundland, Canada. She was the daughter of Madonna Howard and George Chartier, and the granddaughter of the late Gene and Mabel Chartier.

Clara grew up in the local area until age 11, when she moved to California. She moved back to the area in her 20s for a time before moving to Alabama.

Clara had a smile that could light up the room. She was very charismatic and had a wonderful sense of humor. Clara never considered anyone a stranger and loved to talk with everyone she met. She had a great love of learning new things and enjoyed reading books and researching on the internet. Clara liked listening to music and loved to sing.

Clara is survived by two sons, Timothy Beasley Jr. of Antioch, Calif., and Nathaniel Wade of Lake View, Ala.; her mother, Madonna (Jimmy) Howard of Newfoundland; her father, George Chartier of Niagara, Wis.; sisters, Christina (Rick) DeMorrow of Niles, Alicia Henderson of Kingsford, Heather (Art) Plemel of Aurora, Wis.; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be a graveside service at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25 in the Niagara Public Cemetery to celebrate Clara’s life.

Family and friends are welcome to attend.
