PUNTA GORDA, Fla. — Jack N. Phillips, 89, of Punta Gorda, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, June 6, 2018. He was the son of William and Minnie Phillips of Kingsford.
Jack was a devoted family man. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing and visiting with friends and family. He formed strong, long-lasting relationships with many people during his life.
Jack will be greatly missed by his daughters, Linda Baumeister of Punta Gorda, Judy (Robert) Gunville of Quinnesec, Patti (James) Myers of Channing and Kathy (Bob) Lund of Kingsford; sister, Phyllis (Robert) Mortel of Sturtevant, Wis.; brothers, Jim (Sandy) Phillips of Iron River and Frank (Sandy) Phillips of North Carolina; 12 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia M. Phillips; son, Jack W. Phillips; brother, lvan (Lucille) Phillips; and sisters, Shirley (Bud) Moroni, Marcelle (Darrell) King and Norma (John) Vanderlin.
Per Jack’s wishes a graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11 at Quinnesec Cemetery.
