Larry J. Stone

He was born Sept. 1, 1936, in Norway, son of the late Alton and Mary (Blumert) Stone. Larry grew up in Norway and was a graduate of Norway High School. He moved to Detroit and worked in the automotive industry, returning to the area in 1986.

In October 1991, Larry was united in marriage to Delphia Stone. She preceded him in death on July 16, 2018.

Larry enjoyed flying his plane, hunting, building bird houses, making stained glass, weaving carpets on his loom and tinkering in his garage. He especially loved his dogs, Peppy and Little Man.

Survivors include his daughter, Angela “Missy” Conley of Vulcan; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Delphia, Larry was preceded in death by one brother.

Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23 at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. A celebration of Larry’s life will follow at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Norway Township Cemetery.
