Rose Zahn

She was born on Feb. 25, 1924, in Chicago, the daughter of the late Anthony and Dorothy Comeno.

Rose married John Zahn Sr. on Nov. 12, 1942 in North Judson, Ind.

She worked for Les Brown Chair Factory in Hermansville. She enjoyed doing crafts and liked cooking very much. She would always add her own special ingredients to make everything taste so good.

Rose especially enjoyed her family and spending as much time with them as she could.

She is survived by her husband of 76 years, John; son, Edward Zahn; daughters, Barbara Thiry and Patricia (Gary) Bryant; daughter-in-law, Kathy Zahn; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren, with two on the way; and several nieces and nephews.

Rose was preceded in death by her son, John Zahn Jr.; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Zahn; brothers, Joe, Charlie, Tony Bud and Sam Comeno; sisters, Pauline Irwin, Rosealine Kirschner and Mary Hyatte.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to noon Friday, Nov. 23 at the Ortman Funeral Home in Norway.

Funeral services will follow at noon at the funeral home, with Jeff Gagne officiating.

Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Faithorn.
