PEMBINE, Wis. — Alexander “Jim/Red” James Maxwell, formerly of Pembine, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at his home where he lived with his son William (Billy), his daughter-in-law Crystal and their son Remy in Owensboro, Ky.

Jim was a loving husband to the love of his life, the late Melodie Maxwell, and a loving father to his eight children: Sheila (Darvin) Rickling, Shelley (Eric) Bastian, James “Jimmy,” his late son Kevin, Shawna Kelley, Derek, William “Billy” (Crystal), and Jennifer Maxwell.

Jim was the oldest of nine and is survived by his “special” sister, Janet (Brad) Feinberg, Lisa (the late Ron) Wilhelm, Alexander H. Maxwell III “Jock” (Karen), Diana (Jeff) Martini, his “special” brothers, William “Billy” (Peggy) and Robert “Bobby” (Audrey), George and Marilyn (Kenny) Berry.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Melodie; his mother, Margaret Liggett Griffin; and his son, Kevin.

Jim was a grandfather to 24 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren, and had many nieces and nephews.

A private ceremony was held for Jim at the Cardinal Cremation Society in Owensboro.

There will be a memorial held for Jim on June 15 in Pembine, where his friends and family can pay their last respects.
