RIO VERDE, Ariz. — Gene Allen Warren, 83, of Rio Verde, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 29, 2019, at his home following a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born on June 17, 1935, in Prescott, Ariz., son of the late Eugene and Josephine Warren. Gene was raised in Iron Mountain and was a 1953 graduate of Iron Mountain High School. He went on to attend Michigan Technological University, graduating with a civil engineering degree in 1957.

He spent the next three years as a lieutenant in the United States Air Force at Bunker Hill Air Force Base in Indiana.

Gene married Ann Beville on May 20, 1976. A successful businessman, he worked for Anson Industries Inc. in California and Illinois for a total of 26 years, retiring in 1996 as CEO. Upon retirement, he and Ann made their home in Arizona where they established many friendships and enjoyed many years of golfing.

He is survived by his wife, Ann; sons, Troy (Eva) Warren and Todd Warren; twin brother, Joe (Sharon) Warren; daughter-in-law, Cindy Warren; grandchildren, Nicholas (Alex) Warren, Brittany (Estevan) Guznan, and Lindsay (Alex Bertea) Warren; and two great-grandsons, Ethan Warren and Brysen Guznan.

He is further survived by step-children, step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his children’s mother, Mona Doyle.

Gene was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

His caring nature for others will be forever remembered.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Rio Verde, with burial to take place at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
