Donna Klahn

Donna was born in Crystal Falls, on Oct. 26, 1952, to Ervin and Jean (Atkins) Fredy. She grew up in Sagola, and attended school there until moving to Iron Mountain in 1966. Donna was part of the Iron Mountain High School graduating class of 1970.

She married Kenneth Klahn on May 17, 1985, in Iron Mountain.

Donna worked alongside her husband at Northpointe for many years and took pride in her job. She loved going to the Phoenix Center and her duties there like answering the phone and shopping for meals. She always enjoyed going on outings with the group.

She was proud that she did the Mackinac Bridge Walk one year and went to see the Capitol in Lansing and spoke at the NAMI Convention.

Donna had many dear friends that she loved meeting for coffee and she loved spending time with. She enjoyed spending holidays with family and extended family.

Donna loved Christmas and birthdays and loved giving as well as receiving gifts. She never missed a family member’s birthday!

Donna also loved to listen to music, especially AC/DC.

She leaves behind her husband, Ken; brother, Bob (Janet) Fredy; aunt, Betty Bacon; uncle, Bob Atkins. Donna is further survived by two nephews, Bob (April) Fredy and their sons, Jackson, Grant, and Bennett, Mark (Claudine) Fredy and their daughters, Gianna and Gwen, and niece Cheryl (Jason) Hubbard and their son, Hunter.

Visitation will be held at the Erickson Rochon & Nash Funeral Home on May 25 from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. Rev. Kevin Sullivan will officiate.

Burial will be in Cemetery Park.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in her memory.
