Abram E. Johnson

Abram E. Johnson

FOSTER CITY — Abram E. Johnson, 22 months, of Foster City, was called to his heavenly home on July 2, 2019, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

Abram was born Sept. 1, 2017, in Foster City to Steven and Heidi (Reynolds) Johnson. The youngest in his family, he was always surrounded by much love and adoration. He was a very cheerful boy despite all he went through with his illness. Things that should have made him aggressive and uncomfortable somehow had little effect on his very calm and loving demeanor.

In the 22 months that this world was blessed with him, Abram loved being surrounded by his family, especially his siblings. He enjoyed watching movies and “Paddington 2” was his favorite. He also enjoyed listening to music and frequently shook his maracas to the beat.

He had an amazing sense of wonder and would get very excited over colors, music, flowers, and animals (especially dogs). He was an unusually affectionate little boy, often beckoning his siblings for hugs and kisses, even when he was very sick.

Left to cherish Abram’s memory are his parents, Steve and Heidi Johnson; siblings, Samuel (Annette) Johnson of Rocky Mount, Va., Hannah, Lydia, Simon (fiancée Chaia Woodward), Ethan, Daniel, Magdalene, Caleb, Phoebe, Timothy, Mary and Ezra Johnson, all of Foster City; grandparents, Paula Reynolds of Hardwood, Mike and Kathy Bednarski of Florence, Wis., and Jeff and Evelyn Johnson of Ishpeming; great-grandmother, Pauline Murray of Felch; nephew, Christopher Johnson; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Michael Reynolds.

Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain; and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mission Covenant Church in Foster City.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Pastor Kyle Henderson will officiate. Burial will be in the Foster City Cemetery.

Condolences may be expressed to the family of Abram Johnson online at www.ernashfuneralhomes.com.
