Elizabeth Selma (Bentson) Jezierski
LOVES PARK, Ill. — Elizabeth Selma (Bentson) Jezierski, 98, of Loves Park, formerly of Escanaba, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019, at Alpine Fireside Health Center in Rockford, Ill.
She was born Jan. 28, 1921, in Escanaba, the daughter of William Bent and Gladys Caroline (Christenson) Bentson. She lived in Escanaba for 21 years, Chicago for 15 years, Loves Park for 38 years, and Loretto for 20 years.
The former Elizabeth Selma Bentson married Stanley Frank Jezierski on April 3, 1944, in Columbia, S.C. He preceded her in death on Sept. 9, 2005.
Elizabeth Selma (Bentson) Jezierski is survived by her daughters, Judith McClure of White City, Ore. and Susan Mercer of Penrose, Colo.; grandson, Joseph Oca; granddaughter, Julia Oca; sister, Evelyn Easton; sister-in-law, Mary Bentson; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside burial services will be at noon Central time Tuesday, Nov. 12 at the Norway Township Cemetery in Norway.
