Jack J. Postuchow

CHANNING — Jack J. Postuchow, 90, of Channing, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019, at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain.

Jack was born on July 10, 1929, in Escanaba. He was the son of the late Jacob and Cynthia (Gillispie) Postuchow. He was raised in the Turner and Ralph area and spent most of his adult life in Channing. Jack graduated from Felch High School, and following graduation, he was drafted into the United States Army. He served during the Korean War and was honorably discharged as a corporal in 1952. Jack married Elizabeth Kickbusch on Dec. 20, 1952, in Escanaba, and they would have celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary this month.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by three sisters, Cynthia Czarapata, Joyce Racette and Shirley Postuchow.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; children, Jack (Cathy) Postuchow of Houston, Melody Kronberg of Channing, Keith (Pamela) Postuchow of Kenosha, Wis., and Kevin (Lyna) Postuchow of Kenosha; four grandchildren, Jack (Vanessa) Postuchow, John Kronberg, Lilli Postuchow and Alex Cleven; two sisters, Ida Nord of Iron Mountain and Shirley (Delbert) Siegler of Norway Lake; brother-in-law, Ray Racette of Menasha, Wis.; and sister-in-law, Pat Kickbush of Germantown, Wis.

He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Jack’s wishes, a private celebration of life will be held.

Burial will be in the Ralph Cemetery.
