NIAGARA — Marilyn R. Aderman, 73, of Niagara, passed away on Friday, Jan. 10, 2020. at ManorCare Health Services in Kingsford.

She was born May 7, 1946, in Iron Mountain, the daughter of Elaine (Sentko) Martin and the late Leonard “Buck” Martin. Marilyn graduated from Niagara High School in 1964 and was a lifelong resident of the area.

She married William “Bill” Aderman on Aug. 20, 1966 at Union Protestant Church in Niagara and the couple had three children, Bill (Becky), Scott (Cindy) and Nancy (Dan) Morin. Marilyn was best known for her love of people and her fondness of entertaining company. She was employed at Big Boy Restaurant and Marcouiller’s Store.

Marilyn was proud of the fact that she made over 16 tons of potato salad throughout her career which was enjoyed by everyone in the area. She was a long-time member of the Riverside United Methodist Church in Niagara and the Dunbar/Trout Haven Bear Hunters. Her kind smile and love of laughter will be missed by all.

Marilyn is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, William; her mother, Elaine Martin; two sons, Scott (Cindy) Aderman and Bill (Becky) Aderman; her son-in-law, Dan Morin; a brother, Leonard (Kathy) Martin; her grandchildren, Mike, Wyatt, Peyton and Eric; great grandchildren, Adisyn, Owen, Jack and Gracie; and many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Martin; her daughter, Nancy Morin; and a sister, Melody (Dan) Butler.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at the Riverside United Methodist Church in Niagara. A memorial service will follow at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday at the church. Rev. Henry Yoap will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in her memory.
