Mary L. Badini

IRON MOUNTAIN — Mary L. Badini, 90, of Iron Mountain, died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2020, at the Maryhill Manor Nursing Home in Niagara, Wis. She was born March 27, 1929, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Joseph and Angeline (Poisson) Hart. Mary was a lifelong resident of Iron Mountain, graduating from Iron Mountain High School in 1947. She married Mario Badini on Sept. 1, 1956, at St, Mary & St. Joseph Church. He preceded her in death on Aug. 29, 2007.

Mary was a lifelong member of St. Mary & St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening and playing cards, and was a master smear player. Mary also enjoyed going to camp with Mario and having family and friends gather at her home. She was the last of 10 siblings and their spouses, and was the family caregiver for many of them. She lived in the family home her whole life and was proud of that fact.

Mary is survived by many nieces and nephews, and a special God-daughter, Mary Jane Hart. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mario; two infant daughters, Mary Jo Badini and Margaret Ann Badini; three sisters, Irene Hart, Dorothy (Frank) Nowak, and Thelma (Tom) Nowak; seven brothers, Dick (Verna) Hart, Leo (Eileen) Hart, Pat (Lucille) Hart, Arthur (Shirley) Hart, Robert (Leona) Hart, William Hart and Alfred (Elizabeth) Hart.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16 at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary & St. Joseph Church. Fr. Janusz Romanek will offer the Mass of Christian Burial.

Her nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Burial will be in Iron Mountain Cemetery Park.
