Wanda L. Trumble

IRON MOUNTAIN — Wanda L. Trumble, 94, of Iron Mountain, passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2020, at ManorCare Nursing Home.

Wanda was born on Oct. 23, 1925, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Walton and Mildred (Bauman) Harding. She was a lifelong resident of Iron Mountain and was a graduate of Iron Mountain High School.

Wanda married Harold Trumble on March 7, 1946. She worked for a time at Kresge’s in Iron Mountain and after raising her family, Wanda worked for many years as a sales associate with the J.C. Penney Store in Kingsford.

She was a Camp Fire Girls leader and camp counselor for 20 years. Wanda was a wonderful cook and enjoyed fishing.

Her biggest joy came from spending time with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Harold in 2006; her son, Richard; daughter, Siri; a brother, Duane Harding; and her sister, Maxine “Packy” Eckola.

Wanda is survived by her daughters, Pamela (Bernard) Marcouiller of Rhinelander, Wis., Wanda (Teck) Khor of Breitung Township, and Tina (Jeff) Dabb of Breitung Township; grandchildren, Christine (Tim) Edwards, Tom Marcouiller, Gary (Melissa) Marcouiller, Monica (Jim) Chartier, Ryan Shaw, Dalbert (Dawn) Shaw, Emilia (Chris) Khor, Amanda (Dave Fleming) Khor, Todd Edwards and Makenna Dabb; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 15 at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow at noon Saturday at the funeral home. Rev. Paul Strom is officiating.

Burial will be in Iron Mountain Cemetery Park.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Victorian Pines for the loving care given to Wanda while she was a resident there.
