Darcy Walstrom

Darcy was born June 19, 1963, daughter of the late Roger and Kathleen (McCarthy) Duchaine. She married the love of her life, Elwood Walstrom, on Aug. 30, 1985. He preceded her in death on July 12, 2007.

She loved spending time with her family and friends, playing cards, going out to eat, floating on a tube at the river or going for a quick drive to the casino.

Our lives will not be the same without her. She was always the life of the party, and her laughter will be missed by all.

Darcy leaves behind three sisters, Cindy (Paul) Campbell, Judy Wicklund and Caryn Carlson, all of Iron Mountain; a stepson, Elwood Walstrom; sisters-in-law, Tina (Donald) Schoolfield and Sharon Weber; brother-in-law, Ferrand (Sam) Ethington; a very special great-niece, McKenna Wicklund; her nieces, Katie (Tyler) Hill, Trisha Wicklund (Randy Ochs), Stephanie Wicklund, Sarah (Dan) Grignon, Danielle (Matt) Fleming; and a nephew, Ryan (Samantha) Wicklund.

Over the years Darcy worked for the Dickinson Iron Intermediate School District and Northpointe. She volunteered at the VA Hospital and the American Legion.

In accordance with Darcy’s wishes, only a private family gathering will be held.
