IRON MOUNTAIN — Douglas Joseph Pellow, 64, passed away on June 25, 2020, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wis.

Doug was born to Betty (Dahlquist) Pellow and Ralph Pellow on Sept. 26, 1955, in Ishpeming. Doug graduated from Ishpeming High School then went on to welding school in Marquette. He served in the Army National Guard, 107th Engineer Battalion until 1979.

He worked for M & E International Foundry for 12 years until it closed in 1993. He went on to construction work in Arizona and finally celebrated 25 years of working for Louisiana Pacific in Sagola. He was looking forward to retirement in September.

Doug loved riding his four-wheeler with wife Deb and camping with friends Van (Pat) Thomas of Newberry. He loved to take saunas, work around the yard and watching nature.

Survivors include his spouse of 38 years, Debra (Jandron) Pellow of Iron Mountain; son, Jeramy (Gwen) Pellow and grandson, Jacob Pellow of Iron Mountain; sister, Jan (Marv) Swanson of Ishpeming; brother, Ralph Pellow of Ishpeming; sister, Carol (Boyde) Bergum of Mississippi; brothers-in-law, Gary (Kim) Merrill of Spread Eagle, Wis. and Bob (Kathy) Merrill of Ishpeming; and Maurice Merrill of Negaunee; several nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents. A private memorial will be held at a later date.
