Troy M. Olsen

Troy was born in Coon Rapids, Minn. on Nov. 3, 1970, the son of William Olsen and Carol (Sjoquist) Lohr.

He was a 1988 graduate from Coon Rapids High School in Minnesota, where he spent most of his life before moving to Homestead and then to Mount Clemens two years ago. He worked as a sales manager for a tire company.

Troy was a fun-loving person who enjoyed music, humor, and making people laugh. Most of all, he loved his friends and family.

He is survived by his two daughters, Jamie and Devan Olsen of Coon Rapids; his wife, Elizabeth of Hastings, Minn.; two step-daughters, Samatha (Ali) Jiwa and Miranda Price; a step-son, Andrew (Desiree) Price; four step-grandchildren; his mother and step-father, Carol and Robert Lohr of Homestead, Wis.; three brothers, Dennis (Sarah) Olsen of Cheboygan, Mich., Robert Olsen (Trudi Giulani) of Florence, Wis. and Tony (Michelle) Olsen of Norway; two step-brothers, Milton Lohr (Kim Spangleberg) of Waukesha, Wis. and Douglas Lohr (Jenny Mischock) of West Allis, Wis.; and a very special friend, Virginia Smith.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Olsen.

Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, at the Homestead Baptist Church Pavilion in Homestead.

An outside memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. at the church pavilion, followed by a graveside service at the Homestead-Aurora Cemetery. Pastor Seiya Asanuma will officiate.

Per the family’s request, attendees are asked to wear face masks/coverings.
