Arlene Mielke

She was born June 16, 1936, in Iron Mountain, daughter of Louis and Yola (Anderson) Giannunzio. She graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1955. 

Arlene married Roger Mielke on Sept. 23, 1989, at the First United Methodist Church in Iron Mountain. He preceded her in death on Jan. 9, 2007. 

Arlene loved spending time in her beloved hometown of Iron Mountain and took pride in caring for her home and caring for a flower filled yard. 

Arlene was a gifted baker and loved sharing her recipes from her Italian heritage.

She will be greatly missed by family, friends and loyal companion, her GoldenDoodle, Taffy.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda Gerulli of Rochester, lower Michigan and Susan (Mandy) Singh of Seal Beach, Calif.; step-children, Randy (Michelle) Mielke of Freedom, Wis., Renee (Paul) Senso, also of Freedom and Roy (Beth) Mielke of Combined Locks, Wis.; grandchildren, Makayla, Hannah, Allison, Madison and Mason; a brother, Louis (Diane) Giannunzio; and two sisters, Yola May Chapman and Beverly Ann Garcia.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Aug. 8, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain.

Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. David Wilton will officiate.

Burial will be in Cemetery Park.
